Webinar: Lessons Learned from the First NextGen Bar Administration
Date & Time: November 19, 2026, 1E/12C/11M/10P
Session Description: In this webinar, academic support and bar faculty from first-adopter NextGen Bar jurisdictions will debrief July’s exam. They will share what their schools changed to prepare for the new exam format, what the results and their graduates’ reports showed, and what advice they have for law schools in jurisdictions that will adopt the exam in 2027 and 2028. A faculty respondent will then describe take-away lessons and action items for doctrinal faculty, curriculum committees, and deans. Live Q&A follows, and attendees will leave with a short “start-now” checklist.
Who Should Attend: Deans and associate deans, curriculum committee members, doctrinal and legal writing faculty, and the academic support and bar program directors who advise them. Spring courses and advising can still change, so the timing of this discussion is ideal.
Speakers: Stephanie Davidson (Willamette University School of Law), Scott DeVito (Quinnipiac University School of Law), Sarah Keiski (University of Oregon School of Law), and Carrie Sanford (University of Washington School of Law). Moderated by Catherine (Cassie) Christopher (Texas Tech University School of Law)
