Meet Nachman N. Gutowski, AASE's President-elect. Nachman is an assistant professor in residence and the director of academic success at UNLV Boyd School of Law. He has successfully led initiatives that significantly improved student academic performance and bar exam outcomes. Nachman is very vocal about his vision for AASE: to further elevate the status and security of ASP professionals by helping advocate for pay equity and position security, enhancing professional development opportunities, and strengthening community and collaboration. Nachman aims to work closely with law schools, accrediting bodies, and legal education organizations to ensure ASP professionals are recognized and rewarded for their pivotal roles. In the coming year, Nachman plans to offer more workshops, seminars, and resources that can continue to keep AASE members at the forefront of developments in legal education, such as technology and pedagogy.
As President, Nachman will appoint all committee chairs and he will become the official voice of the organization. If you are interested in leading or serving on a committee, please contact Nachman ASAP. Fun fact about Nachman: he has a Masters Degree in Music Business and Entertainment Industries and he learned piano and drums as a child. If you have not yet met Nachman, please find him at the Annual Conference in Boston; he's sure to offer you a firm handshake, a wide smile, and a listening ear.
