Albany Law School is seeking a proactive and innovative individual to join our team in the Bar Success program. Appointment will be as Assistant or Associate Director, depending on experience. In this key role, you will assist in the development and delivery of supplemental bar preparation programs and services for students. Your responsibilities will include supporting bar exam preparation, creating workshops, offering personalized counseling, and ensuring student success. You will work closely with the Director to monitor recent graduates' progress in bar prep courses, build and maintain a resource library for faculty, analyze data on bar exam performance, manage a counseling program, and support students through individualized guidance. Additionally, you will organize and communicate student events and initiatives, as well as participate in activities and workshops focused on academic success.
Qualifications include:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in good standing in at least one state (or previous admission with the ability to renew license).
- Experience in academic support at a law school, teaching, or working in law-related organizations in a teaching/mentoring role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom, Canvas (or similar platforms), database management, including report writing capability, and social media tools.
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work with diverse student populations, including ESL students and those with learning disabilities.

Compensation: The estimated pay range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 per year. Pay rate offered will be based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, and in consideration of internal equity. Comprehensive benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, retirement plan with 5% retirement contribution, employer paid life insurance and disability coverage and generous paid time off (PTO, volunteer time off, holidays and parental leave). We are a Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligible employer.
