Mississippi College School of Law (MC Law) invites applications for the position of Director of Academic Support. This position involves supervision of the law school’s academic support program for students in all years of the law school program and supervision of the law school’s bar preparation program for third-year students. The Director will also teach first-year students in the Legal Writing Program. The Director’s contract is initially a one-year probationary contract, subject to renewal for a second probationary year. The contract may then be awarded for a five-year term. At the end of the first five-year term, the Director is eligible for a presumptively renewable five-year contract. The law school support for the Director would include grants for scholarship, teaching assistants, and conference travel. Prior experience in academic support is preferred, but not required. The law school campus is in downtown Jackson, Mississippi, the state capital and a center for law, business, and culture in the mid-South.
